London Writers Salon
The London Writers’ Salon (LWS) is a global community and digital platform dedicated to helping writers build consistent creative habits and sustainable careers. Founded in 2019 by editors and creatives Parul Bavishi and Matt Trinetti, the organization is best known for its “Writers’ Hour”—a free, daily virtual writing sprint held four times a day across multiple time zones. These sessions follow a structured format where hundreds of writers gather on Zoom to share their goals, write in silence for 50 minutes, and “check out” together, fostering a sense of collective accountability and focus. The Salon operates on a philosophy of “Creative Health,” treating regular writing as essential for mental well-being and personal fulfillment.
Beyond its daily sprints, London Writers’ Salon offers a robust suite of professional resources through its tiered membership model. Members gain access to a private online community, genre-specific “Writing Rooms,” and a vast library of masterclasses featuring interviews with world-class authors, agents, and editors. The platform also hosts specialized courses on topics like querying with confidence and starting a Substack, as well as the Writers’ Hour Magazine and various writing contests. By bridging the gap between isolated craft and professional industry insight, the Salon has grown from a local London meet-up into a Webby-nominated home for over 30,000 novelists, poets, journalists, and screenwriters worldwide.
